FBCAA Reunion 2012
The 2012 Biennial meeting of the Florida Bible College Alumni Association is scheduled for the Labor Day weekend (August 31-September 3) near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2008 a reunion was held in the Atlanta area and in 2010 the FBCAA sponsored a Bible Conference near Orlando. In our alternating tradition, this year's meeting will be a reunion. The Philadelphia area was selected because of the high concentration of alumni living in the vicinity. Because the Labor Day weekend is not generally a good time for business meetings, we were able to negoatiate a great deal for lodging and meeting space at the Dolce Hotel in nearby Valley Forge. Mark these dates on your calendar and be watching for details concerning music, speakers, and registration information. If you are on Facebook, visit https://www.facebook.com/?events/158768874190130/ or http://?reunion.floridabiblecollege.com?/ for the latest news and information about this event. Led by plenary and workshop speakers discussing a wide variety of topics, the conferees celebrated the grand themes of Grace, Faithfulness, Clarity of the Gospel, and Evangelism -- themes which uniquely distinguished Florida Bible College during the years of its ministry.

The Peach State Quartet, a ministry of alumnus Doug Stroup, ministered to the assembled crowds at both the Saturday evening banquet and at the Sunday morning worship service.

At the biennial meeting of the Florida Bible College Alumni Association on Sunday afternoon, members overwhelmingly endorsed the constitution presented, voting to incorporate the FBCAA as a 501(c)(3) organization that will "support and promote education at institutions that share the distinctives of the original Florida Bible College; support missionaries and mission organizations that share the distinctives of the original Florida Bible College; and promote and encourage mutual support among alumni by prayer, encouragement, and communication."

The dates for the 2012 Florida Bible College Alumni Association Reunion (August 31 - September 3) were announced. The location will be determined shortly.

  Welcome to the FBCAA Website

Welcome to the Florida Bible College Alumni Association web site.

Although our alma mater offered its final classes over a dozen years ago, the bonds that were created by the common experience of attending such a unique school continue to hold us together in profound and meaningful ways. Stretching over four decades, on four different campuses in south and central Florida, Florida Bible College was unique among like institutions due to its consistent commitment to specific biblical values and distinctives. As an alumni association we are committed to perpetuating these values in and through our members so that they can be passed on to future generations (2 Timothy 2:2). Excerpts from the college's statement of faith illustrate the following distinctives:

GRACE
"The true child of God is not under the Law but under grace; he is saved by grace and disciplined by grace."
CLARITY OF THE GOSPEL
"Man is saved by undeserved mercy through faith and nothing of man enters into his salvation; it is a free gift. Man's efforts, regardless of how good or well intended, before or after salvation, have nothing to do with it. Salvation is by the finished work of Christ and nothing can be added to it. Every true child of God possesses eternal life and is, therefore, safe and secure for all eternity, being justified by faith, sanctified by God, and sealed by the Holy Spirit; he cannot lose his salvation. Salvation is not the result of what we do, but is by receiving what God has done for us. Man can be certain of his salvation now, and his salvation cannot be lost because eternal life is eternal."
EVANGELISM
"It is every Christian's privilege and duty to make clear God's plan of salvation wherever and in whatever vocation he or she may be."
FAITHFULNESS
"It is a tragedy that many Christians live shallow Christian lives. FBC is dedicated to the task of training Christian men and women in the importance of total dedication and making Jesus the Lord of their lives not to be saved but because they are saved."
The FBC Alumni Association exists to promote and encourage mutual support among alumni by prayer, encouragement, and communication. We also seek to support and promote education at institutions that share these distinctives through grants, gifts, scholarships, and conferences. And finally, we are working to support alumni-related missions and ministries that continue to exhibit a commitment to these distinctives. If you are a graduate, former student, or former faculty member of FBC, please sign in at "Join Our Email List" to the left and then take some time to browse the site and reminisce. Check out our Bible conference and reunion schedule on the "President's Page" and plan to join us as we gather regularly to celebrate and perpetuate the legacy of grace, clarity, evangelism, and faithfulness that were the hallmarks of Florida Bible College.
