Joe Alessi
President
Joe ('74) is best known among alumni for his work with the singing group, Eternity. Today he works as a Regional Vice President / Registered Principal with Primerica Financial Services, helping people get out of debt and retire financially secure. He currently resides in Round Rock, Texas.

 
Mels Carbonells
Vice President
Mels ('66) was one of the founders of the alumni association back in 1968. Through Uniquely You he helps individuals, churches, and organizations improve relationships and become more successful by identifying and understanding personality types. Mels lives in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

 
Diane Uplinger
Secretary

Diane ('94) grew up on the Hollywood campus as the daughter of FBC staff members (Graham and Shirlee Bell).  She received Christ as her savior and dedicated her life to His service as a student at Florida Bible Christian School.  After attending and graduating from FBC at the Kissimmee campus, she served on the college staff for a year as the Special Events Coordinator.  She and her husband, Charles, live in Alpharetta, Georgia with their daughter, Rachel.

 
Mike Work
Treasurer
Mike ('73) Played bass guitar in the Internationals, and was a founding member, bass player and a singer in Free Joy. He was also a founding member, bass player and singer in Eternity from 1973 to 1976. Mike graduated from FBC in 1973.

After holding two part-time Minister of Music positions, and teaching Christian school, Mike went to Clayton State College and earned a B.A. in Business Administration, and majored in Accounting. He has worked as an accountant for the Georgia Department of Agriculture since 1993. In 1998 Mike obtained a CPA certification. Mike is a husband to Shirley Willhite Work for 37 years. He is the father of three children and is expecting his first grandchild in October of 2009.

 
Steve Bils
Past President
Steve ('75-'78; ThB '90) was involved in student government and later served on FBC's faculty. Before becoming involved in pastoral ministry and denominational work (he is the Executive Minister of the Oregon Baptist Convention), Steve was involved in Bible college teaching and administration (Colorado Bible College and Texas Bible College) and parachurch leadership (Child Evangelism Fellowship).

Steve and Trudi (Little) met in 9th grade and attended the Suncoast Youth Ranch in Clearwater, Florida. They have been married for 31 years and have three children and five grandchildren.

John transferred from Pensacola Christian College in the fall of 1976 after two years. After leaving FBC in 1978 John entered the computer industry in its infancy. A computer consultant for 30 years, John started the FloridaBibleCollege.com website in 2000, which later became the official website for the Florida Bible College Alumni Association.
