Is FBC alive or dead?

I recently was thinking about the loss there was when FBC closed its doors for good. I wondered ... would it be possible to bring it back?

With this thought in mind I would like your feed back as to if and how FBC could be revived.

Send me email at john@internetinsites.com with your comments. If there is enough interest I will post the emails on the site. Pray about it and let me know.

Here is what some of you have said.

"... As a graduate and one who was vitally involved in the school, I have a tremendous interest in seeing the school reborn..."

"I have been thinking about the "Phoenix rising from the ashes" idea and have some serious reservations about whether or not the dynamics that created FBC in the first place could ever be recreated...."

"I don't really know the answer to that. I guess I believe that if the Lord wants a "new" FBC, He will raise up the people needed to "take on" the challenge..."

"I do not believe that you can revive the vision and institution."

"Is the time right to start a college that will stand for a clear gospel, equip men and women in skills needed preach teach and assist the Church of God today. To blow down boldly the doors of society today in ways never before thought of preaching and teaching the clear message that Christ Died, was buried and rose again to prove what He said was true. ALWAYS!

Sadly "we" could not agree to keep together the last one."

"Maybe . . . but only the Lord could do that! He would have to raise up the right Leadership team who were flexible, visionary and godly."

We all know that it was sin that brought the college down and this has been a good lesson for thousands on the negative and lasting consequences of sin. God forgives, but the consequences remain.

I wish that FBC could be revived. But I believe that it's time has past. The Reason.... FBC was born out of the PASSION of one man. He had a dream and at that time was in tune with God on a very personal way. Anyway you cut it, FBC was an extension of Ray Stanford. It was a dynamic of his desire to reach souls.

When Ray left, the PASSION left also. Not the desire to win souls. Not the desire to teach others how to present the Gospel. But the PASSION that some, but few were able to acquiesce to after Ray left.

The seeds planted by Ray and the original FBC staff have produced much fruit. No matter what people say or feel, I know that God will say... "Well done my good and faithful servants."

Just a thought.
